diabetes happens -do it again

2009, Portland Oregon. DH was able to donate $2,000 to the Chris Dudley Basketball Camp, which sponsored five campers for its 2009 summer session. Big Mike and Tyler have once again made a HUGE impact on so many lives! Thank you so much!  Find out more about DH.

BBQ Rib-Off Dinner

2008, Portland, Oregon. A huge thank you goes out to the Duncan & Dollar families! Without their vision and hard work this event would not have come to life! What started as a "oh, a local BBQ & cook off would be fun to put together"! Turned into a massive ripple effect throughout the community, with the common response from locals "how can I join in and help your fundraiser"! Over 100 people attended the Rib Off Barbeque Dinner. 2007, diabetes happens created the dh1project.

The dh1project is the name for the original and primary fundraising goal that lies at the core of diabeteshappens: profits from the sale of our merchandise will be used to sponsor children with Type 1 Diabetes to attend The Chris Dudley Basketball Camp. The camp is a week-long, once in a lifetime experience where young diabetics learn how to control their condition while playing an intensive sport with 16-year NBA veteran Chris Dudley. diabeteshappens is proud to work with our good friends at The Chris Dudley Foundation as we strive to provide support and unique opportunities for young diabetics around the world.

Poker Party Fundraiser - the Maag Family

2006, Texas Hold'Em was the theme of the night for Patrick, his brothers, and all their friends! Every flop, turn and river in their tournament was in support for The Chris Dudley Basketball camp and support of the Foundation. The winning donation was $2,450!
